American Classic Coffee | Rocky Mountain Coffee | Medium Roast | Coffee | Specialty Coffee | Small Batch
When I was a little kid my grandparents took two of my cousins and me to Estes Park, Colorado. I remember sitting in the back seat of Papaw's Ford LTD with all four windows down driving down I-70 at 55 mph. We drove from Southeast Missouri through Kansas and then on into Colorado to Estes Park. The whole trip Papaw talked about the Rockies and how, a little while after crossing over into Colorado, we'd see the Rockies off in the distance. I remember sitting in the back seat with my chin on the front seat between Nanan and Papaw keeping my eyes peeled for the first sight of the Rockies.
Then, there they were. The Colorado Rocky Mountains. I couldn't wait to get up there to see the elk Papaw told us about. We stayed in a cabin on the edge of a stream and I was convinced that there was gold in that stream. It was such a beautiful place. I'll never forget that trip with my grandparents. Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, Colorado hold a very special place in my heart.
When deciding on which parks I wanted represented in this collection, Rocky Mountain National Park was the first on the list. I believe this coffee will represent the Rocky Mountains well.
The coffee is comprised of a complex three-bean blend of high quality coffees from distinguished origins in Latin America. Coffee beans from Latin America tend of have a very distinct set of flavors and textures, depending on their roast. They're often grown at high altitudes in rich, volcanic soil which gives them brightness and sweetness. Their acidity is usually high, with a light body and there's often a sweetness and tanginess accompanying these coffees.
Sweet and round. Dark chocolate, ripe orange, black cherry, walnut, a hint of narcissus-like flowers in aroma and cup. Lightly syrupy mouth feel; walnut and chocolate carry into a deep though drying finish. An orangey chocolate with hints of walnut and light florals dominates in three parts milk.
Who Should Drink It:
Those who value a deeper richer and versatile espresso with a wide range of aromatic expression, both in the small cup and in milk.
